To give Cocoro a distinctive and captivating style, we decided to embrace digital hand-drawing using the incredible Procreate software. The end result is a visually stunning brand that exudes uniqueness and creativity. The carefully crafted abstract shapes symbolise the core values of "family unity" and "support," coming together harmoniously. We opted for a colour palette inspired by nature and cleansing, ensuring a warm and inviting aesthetic.

In November we gave you a sneak peek at our Branding for KASE Construct; today, we are showing off our new case study, which takes a deep dive into the theory behind our branding identity design, alongside a look at their newly designed Website!

KASE Construct is all about precision craftsmanship, so we wanted to ensure their new brand identity was created with this in mind. We designed the monogram using a dotted grid surrounded by a square, representing the pure craftsmanship of the three cores of the brand, Plan, Design and build. Visually, this leans towards architecture and precise engineering; we custom-designed the 'K' within the monogram to sit precisely on the grid.

Designing a fresh look for Hendon Way Motors

Hendon Way Motors is a well-recognised brand that has been around for 70 years, so we didn't want to move too far away from their heritage. They approached UNBXD to help modernise their existing brand with an updated logo and colour palette.

We made slight adjustments to their iconic HWM logo-mark ad retained the use of Gill Sans for the logotype but rejuvenated their colour palette to become more refined. The colour scheme we decided on was based on 70's Italian cars, with Rosso Corsa and Bianco Puro being the primary colours.

For the website design for Hendon Way, we wanted to give a classic but modern feel whilst delivering an optimal user experience. We've used white space to ensure that it provides a contemporary feel, while introducing the brand's deep red sparingly throughout the pages so as not to overwhelm the users.

Introducing APEX Car Competitions

We’re super excited to showcase one of our latest projects for Apex Car Competitions. Based in the UK, Apex Car Competitions specialise in sourcing rare and sort after vehicles that they make available to the masses via their online raffle system.

Apex approached UNBXD to assist them in developing their brand identity, e-commerce online store, and strategic digital marketing post-launch. Their core goal was to both showcase their range of vehicles in the best light possible, as well as offer their customers a robust and secure place to purchase tickets to their competitions.

“I created a combination mark for this concept, as the brand name itself ’Apex Car’ is memorable when combined with strong typography, this creates strong brand recognition. The inspiration behind the striped markings was taken from “apex” track marks, adding this to the typography gave the logo a more sporty and extreme appearance. The strong contrast between Red, Black and White allows the branding and the identity to become easily recognisable as a car brand.” - Lisa Drake, Graphic Designer.
