UNBXD were tasked with the challenge of a digital transformation project, redesigning and developing both their front end website and back end user areas to improve the overall user experience. Alongside this we were also appointed to develop their online presence via social and email marketing as well as produce all visual content including photography, film and graphics.
Using our wealth of knowledge in creating custom built web applications and CMS systems, we began mapping out the existing framework and infrastructures to the business, their relationship to each other and where improvements could be made. Working closely with the team at The Boat Club we were able to achieve a deep understanding of their customers and users in order to know which elements were most important to the projects success such as the content, security and purpose.
The Boat Club now has a fully integrated, custom built booking system via the back end user area which is fully customisable by their team, allowing an improved usability from both the customers point of view and the staff managing it. As well this, they now have a visually stunning, interactive, front end showcase site featuring a fully integrated payment system where users can become members.
Both the front end and back end systems now have an overall improved UX and also benefit from a whole bunch of new and exciting features. As well as the in-depth website redesign and development, we also achieved some pretty astonishing results on their social channels, including a 438% increase in impressions, 76% increase in following, 862% increase in engagements and a 1757% increase in direct messages over the initial 6 month period.
